We have found a crossword app that looks pretty cool. Let's start the project with 10 words from each class.
(don’t forget to include a descriptive hint, clue for each word). Easy to use this Crossword Puzzle Maker One submission from each school would be great, but 2-3 would be ok too. I had originally thought that this was going to be non-fiction about student lives, but it seems that was my understanding not my students intension. They want it to be creative fiction. I think we could still expect both types of writing, but my students only want to write fiction.
I would like to know how many of you are interested and able to send a food package to every class that decides to participate? Also are you able to heat foods, or would snacks that don’t require any cooking be preferred?
“Additive” story, where each class takes turns adding a paragraph to the story. I think this only requires one writer from each school, or we could send it back and for taking turns between 2-3 class rooms. We could also start several stories in different classes at once to get more students involved. I have several students who were very interested in this project, and I feel it can be easily scaled depending on how many students want to write. If you and your students are interested, please indicate how many writers you have, and how long you need to write a paragraph. I have 2 (maybe 3) interested students. they indicated that they could write their portion in one class period, but we should probably figure a 3 day turnaround just to play it safe.
Here you can see the beginning of the story and the adding of other groups. I will announce you when is our turn to add our part! Red - do not add at this time. Green -you can add a new part of the story. |
