Task 1: Tips on how blogging could be used in classroom:
1) we improve our teaching experience passing from old teaching methods to new modern ones in order to have qualitative results 2) blogs are a rich collection of ideas and activities. Other blogs can inspire us to create new teaching ideas 3) students who missed the lesson can find the information online when they are free to do so (also there are students who need more time to understand or think over the lesson) 4) we encourage students to progress; asking them to post assignments or comments we develop their writing skills, also there are a lot of speaking, listening tools. Using blogs, students can post recorded presentations of themselves 5) blogs are a way to involve all pupils (sometimes the lesson is not enough to check all of them) Task 2: I like: • Video Resumes - Student’s writing skills are developed because students express their own point of view after watching different projects. • Let's share our Voicethread Projects - Student’s writing and speaking skills are developed. Some students registered their voice, others wrote comments. The audio recordings avoid the necessity for the teacher to check each student’s pronunciation too. Teaching using a blog is a flexible teaching way as it offers the opportunity to work when you have time. It attracts student’s interest because it involves digital literacy. It is a new teaching tool. Task 3: http://angelagabureac.weebly.com/homework/assignment-1
Informational technologies are a necessity nowadays, because everything becomes computerized, and we must be up to date. Another reason that blogging is a good teaching tool is the fact that working with blogs, student’s involuntary memory is active; reading requirements, searching information, analyzing some articles or reportages, they memorize some expressions and structures they could use formulating and producing new ideas. Finally, blogging is a useful teaching tool because all the materials are online which teachers and pupils can find it easy. It is accessible also because you can review what you need; it is not a book that you need to return to the library. I think blogging is the future of teaching.
Task 1: I like most:
1) The English Blog http://jeffreyhill.typepad.com/english/#.U8j1g_mSzwo (I find this blog as a wonderful teaching tool. It attracted my attention especially through the rich collection of ideas: videos as role-plays, animations, cartoons, techniques, resources. We could borrow useful tips like the efficient descriptions and advices bellow the presentation.) and 2) Edutech for Teachers blog http://edutech4teachers.edublogs.org/ (I like the way the things are posted because they seem interactive. All the tips are interesting and we could borrow the idea to add a little of fun in teaching). Task 2: I would like to create a teacher blog. The blog name: English Edu Teach It would include the sections: • About me! • My students • My best projects • My lesson plans • Extracurricular activities • Assignments • English is fun! The purposes of my blog: • to post students homework • to encourage students to use certain online tools to learn English • to share lesson plans and useful resources with colleagues • to create an online portfolio Task 3: http://angelagabureac.weebly.com |
