Dear students, let’s check your knowledge about the United Kingdom!
Take some minutes to complete the survey. Dear pupils, here are some new activities for you: 1) Use the Cambridge Dictionary Online to complete the crossword. I hope you will have fun completing it. 2) Listen to the song and correct the outlined words in the lyrics below. The Collocation Dictionary can help you find the correct words in the section “similar word(s)" and Forvo Dictionary can help you find the correct pronunciation of the words.
3) Create a poem using the Antonym Dictionary. It is up to you to choose the theme and the volume of the poem. In addition, you can use the Rhyme Dictionary. The Shape Poems may help you give a shape to your poem. You can post the poem or its link as a comment at this assignment.
Dear 7th form students, we start the Unit 3 with the topic: The United Kingdom. I hope you will learn new things about the United Kingdom and you will enjoy doing the suggested tasks. Dear 7th form students, after watching the pictures above you have to: - Elementary level students: choose a personality from the given pictures. Write a biography of one of the personalities who most interests you. (Biography) - Pre-intermediate level students: What would a personality say to another if given the chance to talk or correspond? Write a dialogue, skit, or letter. (Holden meets Hamlet) - Intermediate level students: Who of all the characters would you want for a friend? Why? What would you do or talk about together? (Fictional friends) By the end of this activity, level 1 (elementary) students, will be able to write a biography, level 2 (pre-intermediate) students, will be able to write a dialogue, skit, or letter, and level 3 (intermediate) students, will be able to comment their own choice.
